Bump Update - 40+41 Weeks

-40 Weeks-
-41 Weeks-

 How far along?
Currently 41 weeks... I neglected to post a 40 week bump update and now I have no idea what happened when.. So I'm merging it into one post.

Total weight gain/measurements:
Sitting at a whopping 58lb weight gain. Ah well.. whatchya gunna do. I enjoyed every single calorie ;)

Maternity clothes:
Nothing new. My wardrobe basically consists of underwear and tank tops or Bo's t-shirts.

Stretch marks:
Oh yes... new ones have appeared. I was sad at first.. but now I don't really care. I guess thats what happens when you gain 58 lbs in 41 weeks.

Sleep:
Awful. It is literally so physically hard to sleep. I can't roll over without being in pain. My pelvis and hips ache like crazy. My legs cramp up all the time. Theres no sugar coating this. Sleep sucks.

Best moment this week:
Getting an induction date! It's really come to the point where I need this baby out now. Between my pulled groin/aching pelvis pain & these EFFING WRISTS!!!!!!!!! [they are clearly just getting worse and not better] It's nice to have a day where I know things are going to happen. Tomorrow [Sunday] I'll get 2 doses of the cervical gel... & then if I haven't gone into labour yet, I'll be induced on Monday  morning with Oxytocin. I was really hoping to go into labour on my own... but again, watchya gunna do.

Miss anything?
Not being pregnant. I miss being able to do anything with my hands, standing up and sitting down,  and breathing like a normal person. I miss not being winded from walking to the bathroom.... Not peeing every 2 seconds. I sound so bitter.. but this is real life right now.

Movement:
Yup. Still lots of movement considering he's probably like 10 lbs by now.
Still hiccuping about 3 times a day.

Food cravings:
I get cravings for sweets in the evening.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Not eating every couple hours

Gender:
A stubborn boy.

Labour signs:
Lost my mucus plug Tuesday night.
Nauseas and vomitting for like 10 minutes Wednesday night.
That's pretty much it.

Symptoms:
Aching lower back and belly.
Burning wrists joints.... I woke up this morning and one of my fingers on each hand was completely locked up.
Lightning crotch.
I'm 41 weeks and feeling like a hippo.... you can guess my symptoms at this point.

Belly button in or out?
Out

Happy or moody most of the time:
Moody!

Looking forward to:
Getting this baby earth side!
My birthday - Baby H's Due date

Bump Update - 39 Weeks

How far along?
39 Weeks + 1 day

Total weight gain/measurements:
Weight gain - 58 lbs... oy
Belly is at a total of 47 inches around. Another oy. hahah!

Maternity clothes:
Nothing new... just the same 3 shirts, which have all been a bit too short for a couple months now. I think I've said this before.. but.. long torso problems!

Stretch marks:
I think theres a couple more on each side of my lower belly... Maybe like, 6 total now.

Sleep:
So uncomfortable. It's so hard to turn from one side to another, especially with the awful pubic bone pain. Some nights I'll get a really good sleep with minimal pain, but those nights usually include me waking up every couple hours to go pee.. Cant win em all!

Best moment this week:
Best moment of the week was also the most nerve wracking. I had an OB appointment on Friday.. Just a typical prenatal appt.. But while we were there, we discovered that my blood pressure was super high compared to what it has been the whole pregnancy. I've been at a pretty constant 116/80, but that morning I was at 140/100! So she sent us to the Labour & Delivery ward at the Saint John hospital, which is where I'll be delivering Baby H when it's time. There, they wanted to do blood work and monitor the baby for a little while.... and if things didn't get any better, they were going to induce me!
Turns out, everything was fine. The resident OB there came back to talk to me and said the baby was PERFECT and my blood work came back PERFECT. My blood pressure also dropped while I was there. That was so nice to hear.
They also checked my hands and feet, which have been concerning me, and they said it was normal. I knew it probably would be normal, but it was nice of them to actually acknowledge my concerns, as my regular OB tends to brush off every single concern I have.
In the end, I was obviously super relieved that everything was ok [which I knew it would be], & it was kind of nice to go there and do a "practice run". We had all our bags packed and in the trunk of the car just in case they needed to induce me. We did all the tests right in the Labour & Delivery ward, so it was nice to see that, and exactly where I'll need to go once its actually go time! Plus the staff was all so incredibly nice! Which is obviously a huge bonus!

Miss anything?
Normal sleep. I miss being able to roll over & lay on my belly.
The other day, I finally said the words "I'm ready to not be pregnant anymore...". I really miss having my body to myself. I know I'm still going to have to share, with breastfeeding, but at least I'll be able to hold him on the outside of my body! I think I managed to keep patient for a really long time, considering I got a million symptoms, and quite a lot of them were painful symptoms!

Movement:
Still squirming away in there. I can tell his living quarters are getting a bit small for him. Any time he moves, he hits a nerve somewhere around my cervix, which sends a shooting pain all around that area. "Lighting crotch" is putting it mildly. I've noticed he has started to calm down a bit more too. Still moving lots, but not as much as before. Which I believe is quite normal at this stage of pregnancy. It also kind of feels like his legs have moved to the other side of my belly? I used to get kicked a bunch on my right side, now its more on my left. Bo says "well, as long as he's still upside down!" haha which I guess, technically, would make him right side up, since he should be staying head down!

Food cravings:
Creme Eggs! Mmmm I still haven't gotten my hands on a Creme Egg McFlurry... Soon!
I also had a serious craving for bannock and jam yesterday... but it didn't last long.
I've also really been wanting chicken caesar wraps!

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Nope

Gender:
Boy!

Labour signs:
Im going to say no. I literally don't feel any different! Besides him being low, theres no change.

Symptoms:
Heartburn
Lightning crotch
Lower back & belly pain.
Possible Braxton Hicks? It's so hard to tell if you've never had them before... It's always just been a guessing game for me when it comes to Braxton Hicks. I had a crazy pain in my belly yesterday. My whole stomach tightened up and it felt like it was burning! Everyone says that BH or real contractions  feel like period cramps, but this pain most definitely did NOT feel like that... and it only happened twice and stopped.
I also had a couple days where I got, what felt like a running cramp, right at the top of my uterus? Maybe that was Braxton Hicks? I have no idea.

Belly button in or out?
It's trying so hard to come all the way out hahah! I'm going to just go ahead and say that it's out... Theres a little part of the bottom that doesn't stick out, but the majority of it is out there :P

Happy or moody most of the time:
This week was happy! Still quite emotional though... My mood changes on a dime!

Looking forward to:
Meeting this baby boy! Friday was quite the eye opener when we realized we could have been induced that day if my blood pressure didn't go down, or if baby was in distress. Now I'm in SERIOUS nesting mode, making sure everything is ready before he does decide to make his arrival.... Which is kind of hard to do because I'm feeling super pregnant, & it almost feels like I'm bringing on contractions when I start to move around a bunch, like I did yesterday. On Friday, we were supposed to go to Saint John kind of ASAP... but we still had so many last minute things to do! So now I'm trying to get on top of it all, because guess what? You're really not pregnant forever. The baby eventually comes out!

Oh I also think I'll be doing a "What's In My Hospital Bag" blog post.... You know, now that it's completely packed. Haha!

Look at how swollen those feet are... Gah!

7.3.15

Bump Update - 38 Weeks

How far along?
38 weeks!

Total weight gain/measurements:
Weight gain, I'm not sure.
Measurement around my belly is still 46 inches

Maternity clothes:
No new ones

Stretch marks:
Just the same 2 on my lower belly

Sleep:
I seem to only wake up once a night to pee! I wake up multiple times because turning over is no easy task with this belly, broken pelvis [not really, it just feels that way], & carpal tunnelled wrists.... but I usually fall asleep right away, once I get into a new position.

Best moment this week:
Getting the car seat and stroller!!!! Woooo!!!

Getting almost ALL my things for my hospital bag nice and organized! Just waiting for a package from my mom & I'll be all set to get that bag packed! I have things in ziploc bags and travel containers all nice and labeled, and ready to go. Ahh organization <3

Oh I also got all the things for my baths again - epsom salts & bubble bath... plus I got these bath bombs from a local soap store. OMG smells amazing and feels so nice!

Miss anything?
Laying on my belly.. Although I've been able to kinda lay on my belly in the tub, which has been helping. I also miss being able to bend over... or walk without my feet hurting.

Movement:
Food cravings:
I actually don't think there has been any cravings this week! Having said that, I did just say that I wanted a donut. Which is weird, since I don't like donuts....oh and Creme Eggs.. Which is also weird. Today I am on a mission to get the Creme Egg McFlurry.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
I WAS sick for like 3 days. I would get sick for about an hour a night.... but that stopped.

Gender:
Boy!

Labour signs:
He's dropped again, so there's lots of pressure!
I was sick for a few days, which made me think my body was starting to get ready.... but like I said, that stopped.

Symptoms:
The restless legs have gone away THANK GOD... but they've been getting pretty crampy in the middle of the night, which is kind of uncomfortable, but as long as I wake up fast enough, I can stop the serious cramp from coming on.
Wrists are progressively getting worse...
My feet and hands are swollen! I hardly even have knuckles anymore!

Belly button in or out?
Almost all the way out!

Happy or moody most of the time:
Happy! Although, rather emotional. I cry at least once a day... but usually more then once.

Looking forward to:
Getting packages from my mom! I know theres 2 coming & it's like Christmas waiting for them. Haha!

Pregnancy Questionnaire #2 - 37 Weeks

I thought I would do another, different pregnancy questionnaire then I normally do, now that I'm full term! I found this one and thought it would be a nice addition for this week :) I still did my regular one because it would feel wrong to have a week missing!

How far along are you now?
37 Weeks

Did you have morning sickness?
I had REALLY bad morning sickness during my first trimester. Up until I was 14 weeks, I was sick basically every single day. It was actually quite terrible. I would wake up in the morning and instantly throw up in the bin beside me. I could only eat/ drink Lipton Chicken Noodle Soup. I was prescribed Diclectin but it really didn't help much.
The worst part was having to drive from Southern Ontario to New Brunswick when I was 11 weeks pregnant. I had such a hard time making that drive [16 hours]. It took me 4 days! When I originally moved from Northern Ontario to Southern Ontario [26 hour drive], it only took me 2 days! It's amazing how that first trimester knocked me down!
Did you have any cravings?
I get random cravings every now and again, but my MAIN craving throughout the pregnancy was apples! Sweet apples like Honeycrisp, or Red Delicious... Mmmm... Oh along with Simply Fresh Pressed Apple Juice.
Did you have any mood swings?
Oh did I ever. I would say mostly in my third trimester... My first trimester was rough due to all the sickness, but I was also exhausted & took a lot of naps. In my third trimester, I'm quite tired again, but I'm so uncomfortable now, that I can't nap, therefore, quite moody!
Are you a high risk pregnancy?
Nope. I've been lucky to have quite a "normal" pregnancy!
Any complications?
Nope! Another thing I am very thankful for.
Formula or Breastfeeding?
Really really really hopping to breastfeed. I told a friend of mine that if I could have one thing go my way with the pregnancy, labour, birth or anything afterwards, it would be to be able to successfully breastfeed.
Have you bought anything for the baby yet?
Theres still some things I need to buy, such as shampoo, lotion, nail clippers, etc. I have the basics & necessities for now. Were slow buyers.
When did you start to show?
I was about 9 weeks when I first noticed a belly poking out!
How long could you wear your regular clothes?
I'm still wearing my regular clothes! At 37 weeks, I'm thoroughly impressed with myself. There are some jeans that definitely don't pull up past my thighs anymore, but I have other pants that still fit! There are also a few shirts that no longer fit, but for the most part, I can wear almost everything I had pre-pregnancy!
Will you keep the baby’s clothes?
Yep! I'll for sure keep his clothes & anything else because we plan to have baby #2 pretty close to the first one.
Home or Hospital?
Hospital! Although I do joke around that Bo should brush up on his midwife skills, just in case I can't make it to the hospital for some reason haha!
I wouldn't be against a home birth, if I was closer to a hospital, for a back up, just in case. Were currently an hour and a half from the hospital I'll be delivering at... So that is way too scary to think of, if something was to go wrong with a home birth.
Natural or Medicated birth?
Natural. My OB told me that Fentanyl was a pain relief method she would recommend while I'm in labour. The thought of that drug being in my veins & going to my baby absolutely terrifies me. I fully believe my body is capable of birthing a baby without any dugs. I'm hoping I can keep this mentality all the way through the labour. The pain won't last forever... right?
Who will be in the delivery room with you?
Bo for sure... & possibly my mom if she's here.
Do you think you will need a C-section?
I really really hope not. I don't want my first surgery to be a C-section! I really hope to have a vaginal birth.
Will you cry when you hold the baby for the 1st time?
Oh, guaranteed.
What’s the 1st thing you might say to the baby?
I'll probably say "Hi" haha! Then I plan to sing Happy Birthday to him <3
Will you let anyone video tape the birth?
I would LOVE that... but I doubt that'll happen. I'll need Bo for support, & not holding a video camera.
Are you excited?
Of course!
Who will help you with the baby after the birth?
My mom will hopefully be here for a few days... Other then her, it's just Bo & I.
What is your favorite thing about being pregnant?
Feeling him move around & learning his little personality already.
What is the worst thing about being pregnant?
The feeling of my pelvis shattering, & my wrists burning.
What’s one thing you miss doing since being pregnant?
Drinking wine.... & sleeping on my stomach!
Any days you wish you were not pregnant?
No.. never.
Are you ready for a baby?
Yep!
How many kids do you want?
2, possibly 3.
Do you talk to the baby?
I ask him to get his feet out of my ribs & to stop head butting my cervix. He doesn't usually listen.
Do you still feel attractive?
I've literally never felt more confident about my body in my life!
Have you had your baby shower yet?
I had one back in Red Lake with my mom & a few aunties.
Do you like kids?
Most of them! haha!

Here are is some pregnancy humour that I thought was quite comical and super accurate lol!

Bump Update - 37 Weeks

How far along?
37 Weeks!!! Officially full term!

Total weight gain/measurements:
Up 5 lbs in 2 weeks..Bringing me to a grand total of 50 lbs so far! Officially back at my heaviest weight, anything passed this will be the heaviest I've been in my LIFE! haha!
& measuring 46 inches around my belly, but I did eat beforehand, so it might actually be a little bit of a food baby too haha

Maternity clothes:
Nothing new

Stretch marks:
Just the two on my lower belly

Sleep:
Same ol. Although last night, I only woke up once to pee!

Best moment this week:
Meeting with the perinatal nurse at the hospital I'll be delivering at in Saint John!
She gave me a prenatal assessment and a big Ziploc bag full of information and resources. She was so nice and made me so much more confident than I have been feeling the last month or so. She answered so many of my questions and made me feel so comfortable! I can honestly say now, that I'm really looking forward to my birth! They are so encouraging with all the things I really wanted [ex. breastfeeding, eating and drinking during labour, being able to move around and change positions, and skin to skin right after he comes out!]
I am so so happy with how things went that day!

Miss anything?
I seriously miss sleeping on my belly, and getting up without feeling like a turtle stuck on its back!

Movement:
Lots. As per usual. He keeps pushing really hard on my side... I swear I saw his foot the other day because he was pushing so frikkin hard!

Food cravings:
I was craving a cheesecake so bad, and GOT IT the same day. Incredible. It was a plain cheesecake with real whipped cream on top, drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce. SERIOUSLY?! Mmmmmm

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Nope! Unless I take too long to eat, OR.. I've noticed that if I stand for too long, I start to get really hot & then nausea usually follows.

Gender:
Boy!

Labour signs:
I was having some Braxton Hicks but they've kinda just stopped.
I was also examined on Friday [yesterday] & she said there is nothing going on with my cervix.

Symptoms:
Heartburn is back in action.
Stupid wrists are killing me.. My OB wouldn't even look at them yesterday, so I'm not sure if its actually carpal tunnel or not.. I may book an appt with my NP for next week instead of my OB so she can check them out to give me some comfort... or even just acknowledgement....

Belly button in or out?
It's almost always out! When I wear shirts, you can see the little bugger just poking out hahah

Happy or moody most of the time:
I would say..... happy? Yesterday was kind of stressful.. It was a longggggg day.. but other than that, it was a good week! I think that appointment in Saint John really picked my mood up.

Looking forward to:
Having the car seat installed, & getting my bags packed!
I need a diaper bag still, but I think for the hospital, all 3 of us are going to share 1 big bag. It'll be so much easier on Bo instead of him carrying multiple bags plus the car seat.
I also need to get some things still, such as nursing pads, coconut oil, baby soap & shampoo... Things like that.
Below is a photo of me wearing the same sweater as above 25 weeks ago hahaha... Things are getting a bit tight these days! Although, I am wearing pre-prgnancy jeans in the above photo!! Go me!

21.2.15

Bump Update - 36 Weeks

I always take these photos in the morning right when I get out of bed [before I eat]... So that means, no make up [since I never really wear make up anymore] & no hair brushing [because I always forget about that too.. hahah] & I always look half asleep. Maybe I should have cropped my face out of these ones..lol! Oh well.

How far along?
36 Weeks aka 9 months!!
Holy crap.

Total weight gain/measurements:
Weight gain is beyond me as per usual, but I do have an appt next week, so I'll know for my 37 week bump update.
Belly is 45.5 inches ish. My hands were so sore, I kept dropping the stupid thing lol!

Maternity clothes:
Nothing new... and I'm just going to say, probably nothing new for the rest of my pregnancy...
The black shirt I'm wearing in the above photos is maternity, but I have to keep pulling it down.. My belly keeps popping out the bottom haha

Stretch marks:
I DO have new ones on the lower part of my belly. I've only been able to actually see one new one, which I think is kind of funny. I know that its there because I had to switch lotions :( The Aveeno one was working amazingly, but then I went and got the cheaper "Equate" version when I ran out of Aveeno.....
 It's crap.
Don't use it.

Sleep:
Meh. Same old. Up about 4 times a night...then sleep solid for a good 4-5 hours before I wake up for the day. Not too bad!

Best moment this week:
Getting a package from my mom was quite the highlight! It had chocolate in it, & that is always a winner.
I also got a free sample package from Similac which was awesome. It came with 8 little bottles of newborn formula, 2 other powder type formulas, and 2 $10 rebate coupons for Similac products.
Also, I finished knitting a blanket, hat & slippers!
Miss anything?
Alcohol. I had a dream the other night where I was in Mexico or something for my birthday & I was drinking margaritas. Oh it was yummy.

Movement:
Always. I posted a video on my Facebook as well as Instagram if you want to go check them out. He likes to stretch out, which can actually be pretty painful for me now that he's so big. He does a lot of rolling around... tossing and turning.
I don't know if you can tell, but he is pushing his butt up on my right side. He does this quite often, switching sides or staying in the middle. He's clearly running out of room.
Oh and his typical hiccups multiple times a day :)

Food cravings:
Still Chinese food.
Also, my sweets craving has chilled out [minus apples & other sweet fruit] but now I've really been craving chips! I want salty snacks!

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Nope

Gender:
Boy!

Labour signs:
I'm not quite sure how to distinguish labour signs from symptoms... but theres been lots of pressure in my crotch area... that my friends, feels just wonderful [please note the sarcasm] haha!
Oh, Braxton Hicks!!! Those are kind of painful.. I don't know what people are talking about when they say that they don't even notice them. Makes me a tad bit worried for real labour! I usually hop in the shower right away & just sit there. It feels so nice to just have the water trickle down on my belly.

Symptoms:
Seriously, I think I got all the weird symptoms.
Carpal tunnel.
Restless legs.
Blurred vision.
Along with all the basics...
Lots of pressure & lightning crotch.
Achy back & hips.
Heartburn.
Plus theres this spot in my pelvis that feels like it's about to crack in half.

Belly button in or out?
It's still a halter.
Bo says it's like a turkey timer.. Once it fully pops out, thats it, baby is ready to come out. Hahah!

Happy or moody most of the time:
A bit of both, but more happy.... but probably more anxious than anything.

Looking forward to:
Going to my "prenatal assessment" next week [Thursday] at the hospital I'll be delivering in. Very much looking forward to that since I've never been to that city, which means I've never been to that hospital! So it'll be a nice practice run to see how long it takes, where it is, etc. Plus I'll be able to ask about mom and baby care and what their procedures are and what not.
Also looking forward to my next OB appt [Friday]. I'll be getting an exam done then, so I'll know what kind of state he's in.. whether he's head down, engaged.. if I'm dilated or effaced at all.. etc.

14.2.15

Bump Update - 35 Weeks

How far along?
35 weeks... only potentially 5 more weeks to go!

Total weight gain/measurements:
just have an appt with my OB yesterday, so I do actually know my weight gain this time - total of 45 lbs.. which means Ive only gained 5 lbs in the last 3 weeks.. yay!
Down 3/4 of an inch around my belly from last week.. bringing me to 45.25 inches... Not complaining. He keeps dropping & moving back up.

Maternity clothes:
Nothing new.. Although 2 of the 3 maternity shirts I have, don't even fit me length wise anymore...
 Long torso problems.

Stretch marks:
I don't know for sure, but I think I might have a couple on the lower part of my belly. It's really hard to tell, since I can barely see that part, & also since I had previous stretch marks there before pregnancy. We'll see. If they are new, they're obviously not noticeable.

Sleep:
It's ok. By ok, I mean, the same.
The first part of my night is super crappy.. I have to get up and pee like 4 times between midnight and 5am... After that, I can usually sleep straight until 10am!

Best moment this week:
Fitting into pre-pregnancy jeans [albeit, very stretchy jeans] was a nice surprise!
Taking my own tester silhouette photos was fun! I'll be doing more in a week or so :)

Miss anything?
Sleeping on my stomach. It's amazing how much I miss it.

Movement:
Always.. and can't forget those millions of hiccups.

Food cravings:
Persians! If you don't know what a persian is, google it. Thunder Bay is famous for them <3
I still haven't gotten my Chinese food fix either... I wouldn't be upset if I came into a pound of chicken balls & sweet and sour sauce.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
If I don't eat fast enough. I delayed eating the other day... Just too tired & lazy to get up and make food.. & I didn't want to ask Bo.... Wow what a mistake that was. Turns out, I get really hot & sweaty, super nauseas and weak. Won't be doing that again!

Gender:
Boy!

Labour signs:
Nope. Thankfully.

Symptoms:
I read that your vision can sometimes go to crap while pregnant, and thats definitely happening to me. Over the last couple weeks, my vision has been quite blurry at times.
My joints have been really sore, especially in my hands and wrists. When I drive, I have to continuously stretch my fingers out because they get SO stiff!
In the night when I get up to go pee, my feet are also really sore... it feels like all the blood goes rushing to them.
Boobs have some leaky days... Nothing major.. Just enough for me to notice it on the inside of my bra or shirt.
Gas & heartburn have calmed down.. Woo!
My nails are still growing super fast.. but they are still brittle... So I keep them painted.
I think my hair is starting to grow! It came to a halt for like, a year. It was literally the same length for the longest time, so I chopped a few inches off a couple weeks ago, & it looks like its actually growing again!
Lightning crotch!
Headaches...I've been trying to drink more water but it doesn't seem to be helping.

Belly button in or out?
It goes both ways.. It's still half an outie like 75% of the time

Happy or moody most of the time:
This week was definitely moody.
Especially the last couple days... I just still feel so unprepared. Not only with baby things [clothes, accessories, car seat/stroller, etc. **dont judge me**], but with my whole labour and delivery.
I've only met with my OB twice... Ive never gotten to talk to her about my birth plan.
I still haven't been able to get an appt to tour the maternity ward at the hospital.
It just feels so impersonal & that I'm just another pregnancy they need to get through... but don't really care about. I've been so behind with everything through this whole pregnancy... with the tests and what not. I just did a glucose test 3 weeks ago [at 32 weeks] because they basically forgot about me.. & then I didn't get the results until yesterday! I was on the higher side & they want me to do another one. By the time I do it and get the results back, I'll be about ready to have this baby... I really don't even see a point in even doing the stupid test again. It's just so frustrating. I could go on forever about how disappointed I am with my prenatal care.. but I won't for now.
Maybe in the future I'll do a blog post about the details of it.

Looking forward to:
Lunch.

7.2.15

Bump Update - 34 Weeks

How far along?
34 Weeks

Total weight gain/measurements:
Up an inch around from last week.. brings me to a total of 46 inches

[This measurement is around my belly, not lengthwise... I have been keeping track of the largest part of my lower belly [& other] measurements since June 19th/2013 when I started my whole weight loss journey, as that was one of my main places I wanted to shrink! Turns out, at my biggest [Jan/2014] my belly was measuring 42.5 inches! My smallest [that I measured at] was the beginning of August [so I was already a couple months pregnant by this point], sitting at 39 inches... By the end of August I was at 39.5 & thats where I started measuring weekly. It's just interesting to me to watch how much my body changes. It's hard to notice a difference when you're just standing in the mirror, so for me, its nice to see numbers & where I'm at! I thought it would be nice to continue through pregnancy & postpartum and see how much more my body changes.. like how when I was at my biggest pre pregnancy, I was only 3.5 inches smaller then I am at 8.5 months pregnant! So crazy to think... Anyway....]

Maternity clothes:
Nothing new.

Stretch marks:
Nope

Sleep:
Still all over the place. I'm still getting really tired in the afternoons, but I still haven't learned to nap yet haha

Best moment this week:
Seriously, finding Cherry Sours at Walmart after them being gone for a couple weeks. I've been so obsessed with these candies for the last few months. Literally can't get enough. If someone wants to send me my body weight in these candies, I'll die happy.

Miss anything?
I miss sleeping on my stomach.

Movement:
Still an active guy. Still gets hiccups all the time. He is for sure running out of room, I can tell when he tries to kick. It's more like, full body movements instead of quick, abrupt ones.

Food cravings:
Besides Cherry Sours, not much. I have been craving pancakes with butter and jam the last couple days though. Obviously not enough to make it... but I've been thinking about it.. haha

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Nope

Gender:
Boy!

Labour signs:
Nope

Symptoms:
Leaky boobs, gas, afternoon fatigue..
Oh and my nails grow SOO fast, but that kinda sucks because they're also extra brittle now.

Belly button in or out?
It bounces back and forth! I never thought I'd have an outie, but apparently it just might happen!

Happy or moody most of the time:
This week was happy!

Looking forward to:
Next friday I suppose... We have another prenatal with our OB... Our last appointment seemed like such a waste of time... so we'll see what this one brings.

Bump Update - 33 Weeks

I scratched my belly right before I took this photo, hence the claw marks haha!
How far along?
33 Weeks

Total weight gain/measurements:
Belly is 45 inches...down an inch from last week... I'm hoping this is because he's been relocating in my belly and not because he's getting smaller?
*Don't panic Kristen... don't panic....*

Maternity clothes:
Nothing new

Stretch marks:
Nope!

Sleep:
Same old.. I usually fall asleep around 1am ish.. Then I wake up about 3 times before 5am. I usually get a good 5 hours after that.. I really look forward to those solid 5 hours

Best moment this week:
I really don't have much going on in my life besides growing a human.. I wish I had something to say here....

Miss anything?
Being able to walk outside! I feel like such a hermit because theres been so much snow lately, and then if its not snowing, its raining, which makes everything slippery as hell! I'm really looking forward to spring. I hate this time of year so much.
I also miss Palm Bays.

Movement:
He dropped, so there was more movement in my pelvis than normal.
He also likes to use my ribs as a foot stool.. sometimes he uses them to push his head into my cervix... now THAT is a fun feeling... *sarcasm*
Whenever I take a bath, he kicks me really hard, and it makes waves.. haha I think its adorable.
He still gets hiccups multiple times a day. I think I'm getting used to them though, sometimes I hardly notice... but having said that, sometimes my whole belly is noticeable twitching, & you can see it easily though my clothes.
Sometimes, mostly in the morning, he kicks REALLY hard! I actually twinge in pain sometimes! It feels like he's bruising my insides! Lol!
Food cravings:
Ham! I was craving a grilled cheese with ham. Then I was craving ham with hot mustard again.
Chinese food... like, everything. Wontons, chicken balls, fried rice, beef and broccoli, wonton soup, egg rolls & anything else I can get my hands on...oh and plum saucesweet & sour sauce, soy sauce... mmmmmmmmm
I was also craving an Oreo ice cream sandwich - the only craving I was able to satisfy haha!

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Nope

Gender:
Boy!

Labour signs:
He dropped! He literally dropped overnight. People keep telling me this is normal... but it still kind of freaks me out that I was only 32 weeks and a couple days when he decided to descend into my pelvis. I have mixed feelings about him dropping... At first I was really happy because I was able to breathe a lot easier.. and eat! Now, the movement in my pelvis is quite uncomfortable...the lightning crotch is quite intense... & sometimes it feels like theres a head in my crotch! Haha!
Lots of pressure down there, some days are worse than others.
***Although he did clearly drop, it feels & looks like he may have moved up a little bit again in the photos I took today?***

Symptoms:
My colostrum has come in!
I had heartburn again for a couple days - I clearly spoke too soon on my last blog post :P
Lightning crotch! It's much more intense now that he's much lower then before.
I've started to get really tired again in the afternoons... I need to learn to nap more.
Shortness of breath.
It's getting harder to do simple tasks.. like walking around the grocery store, or standing to do the dishes.. It just feels like he is so heavy and I need to lean over or sit down.

Belly button in or out?
Mostly in, but it tries to be an outie sometimes.

Happy or moody most of the time:
Both. It's really been a mix lately because my emotions flip like a switch

Looking forward to:
I really don't have anything in mind...Spring! I hate this weather.

According to "the Bump" app... He is 17.2-18.7 inches long and weighs 4.2-5.8 lbs.
Let me tell you, it feels like it. I think he's going to be long & definitely on the heavier side. His dad is over 6 feet tall, and I was a 9 lb baby. I'm expecting a large child!
